Since no s/n is given by Donnelly, can you please verify where the P6616 actually appears?

Only in the Cas Files, only in Wray's log book, or perhaps in both?

Cas Cards from what I remember as Wray was injured. I can ask AHB next week if needs be. This serial is also quoted in BofBCA

So it seems like it is the Cas Card which is quoted, meaning we have a 50/50 situation, where the fault
has taken place.
Is the AM 78 or Cas Card wrong?

Since the crash at least sounds a bit rough, my feeling thus is that it was not repaired on site
but taken to some central MU for repairs.
That in turn makes the omissions on the AM 78 manyfold while the Cas Card stays single....

Bottom line is that at least I have doubts about P6616 being the actual aircraft

Chris thanks for info on Cas Cards- I assume the Cardex ones are very similar to those that have been published on RAF Story Vault website for WW1 - but some go later upto
1929 - I have used them to fill in my list of all RAF deaths, dates, units and causes Nov 13 1918 to 2 Sept 1939
