Thanks, Nokose!

For that day I find two Mig-3 claimed by Wilhelm Schilling, both same location, but one at 1800m, the other at 600m... (Anerkennungsnummer 277 and 278)

Re: JG54 Victories

The other one according to JFV9/III was at 11:50 which I don't have anything.

(No VVS losses per research by Andrey Dikov)

Hello,

Any updated information on this issue? Dikov stated that there were 3 I-15s and 1 Yak-1. No information to which aircraft St Lt Babernov was flying but probably the Yak ?

Re: JG54 Victories

St. Lt. Babernov (Dikov didn't have his first name) was flying the Yak-1. From Nowotny's on story he believed it was his wingman rejoining him.

Re: JG54 Victories

Yes. Just what I was thinking. Very odd to mistake a 109 for a I-15, with or without the white spinner.
I'm still curious about the fact that are no losses on Soviet records.
But, on the other hand, I find it hard to believe that Nowotny forged his first victories.

I don´t know if it is helpfull for your efforts, but Gerhard Loos was my grandpa, I have a detailed list of his verified air victories. If you want me to post it here just tell me it can also be seen here http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?t=13295

Hello Nokose,

07Apr41
Lt. Hans Beisswenger 6./JG54
17:50 Hurricane I (Ind. Esk. JKRV Kp Danio Gribic-WIA)

Captain Danilo Grbic parachuted from burning Hurricane. He was badly wounded and died couple of hours later due to blood loss. So you may change it to KIA.
