Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hi Eric,
there was no Luftflotte Reich Gruppe in Fl.Ü.G. 1. Below is the structure as of 23-Sep-43 the source is RL 10/677. Hope this will help a little. Norbert Fl.Ü.G. 1 (23. Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hi!
According this site: http://www.ww2.dk/air/misc/flug1.htm Gruppe Nord was formed on 23.9.43 in Elbing with 1. - 4. Staffeln. There is known any other info about presence Fl.Ü.G. 1 Gruppe Nord on this airfield? How long stationed or about their equipment (any transport a/c for gathering a pilots?). I suspect this Gruppe being responsible for transfering Bf's to Finland. I found single ferry flight of Bf 109 G-6/Trop W.Nr. 411520 (Erla - Lepizg) Stammkennzeichen RW+VQ: Anklam-Elbing: Mar 7 1944 10.15 – 11.30hrs, Elbing-Riga: Mar 14 1944 14.05 – 15.40hrs, Riga-Malmi: Mar 16 1944 12.15 - 13.30hrs, Malmi-Kuorevesi: Mar 16 1944 14.40 – 15.25hrs, In Finland a/c became MT-402 and served in 3/HLeLv34 (from 4th Apr 1944). This a/c belonged to 411XXX series bulild on autumn(?) 1943 (I guess the built up time on basis some details showing on photo: low tail, loop antenna, cockpit canopy older type but with Gallandpanzer). If it's true I wat to ask: it is a normal situation, that delivery a/c from factory to the combat unit takes few months? |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Many thanks Dear Friends
These post are interesting for me . No I mean by Lft Reich than Ofw Weinpahl was belonging maybe to Lft Reich , not to FLÜG 1 Best regards Eric |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Eric,
Am I correct in recalling that most of the listed Fl.Ü.G 1 pilot names are from Jim Crow's Großostheim "Kladde?" I don't have my copy handy, but they sure sound familiar. Steve Sheflin |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hello Steve
Your are right , this document is really interesting and worthy for our researches , but to complete the our on the Fw 190D-9 production and deliveries , we need to know whether these log books are still existing . You can easily imagine how the delivery flights could be interesting . Eric |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
I am also very interested in Fl.Ü.G 1 Ost (East) and Südost (South-East), as these units ferried Henschel Hs 129s to the Eastern Front, as well as various airplanes to Central and East European Axis air forces.
I would appreciate any info regarding these topics. I only hope I can reciprocate the information. |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hello to you all,
I can only join Dénes with the hopes that someone could provide information on the Ost/Südost Gruppen of FlÜG1. Especially the possible deliveries to Croatia in 1945. regards, Tomislav |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hello
I have weak information concerning this front . Most of the FLUG 1 fllights I know cover deliveries in late 1944 early 1945. Eric |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hello Eric,
I do not have anything to those pilots you have listed but I do have a few Soldbücher und Wehrpässe to pilots and an airgunner from at least Fl.Ü.G. 1 (Süd) if they will be of interest to your research? /Ian |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hi, Eric
What period are you interested in, and what kind of numbers woul be sufficient? I have the number of D-9 aircraft delivered and taken over by the Luftwaffe for Dez 1944 through March 1945 (specified also D-9/EZ 42, D-9/R11, D-11, D-13 etc) Regards, Andreas B |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hello Andreas
It could be nice of course I you could show me your documents , Icould then double check it I have at home the whole list . If I can help you do not hesitate Eric |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots

Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hello all,
Should this aircraft: 17-2-45 FIUG1/Gr. Sudost - Bf 109 G-10 163055 10% Notldg. inf. tech mangel Kralup, actually be Bf 109 G-10 613055? Or is it actually G-6 163055? Steve Sheflin |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Hi Steve,
163055 and a G-10 is what is on the report, all these can be subject to errors which ofton are corrected in later summary sheets but for 1945 the lists are incomplete. Additionally some sheets are very hard to read I could not see any later changes on what I can read, regards Brian Bines |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
The Bf 109G-10 WNr.163055 could really be WNr.613055 as Steve already said. WNr.613055 was test-flown at Kralup on the 09.02.45 by the testpilot Nicolas Mörtl.

Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
No offense meant to the poster, but didn't Eric pass away a couple of years ago? Eric was one of the first guys I was in contact with on this board at its original site. Eric was a great guy and very helpful to me, as I would like to think I was to him with our exchanges of information. I was very saddened by his loss. I appreciate the 'In Memoriam' thing, but why the anonymity, or posting in his name? Again, no offense intended. I still miss his input to this site.
As to the FlÜG1 topic, there is a hand-written listing of their 109 losses out there, or at least the fatalities of said unit - I was very fortunate to get a copy of this many years ago, but the Schulen losses list lots of other 109s with non-fatal losses, along with many other aircraft types and casualties through Sep-44, much more than I would have expected. Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
Jim,
the loss of Eric struck a lot of us. But this topic was started I think by him alone, while he was among us. This is just not closed topic which popped up from forgottneness when posted by Junior member Darth Wader. R.I.P. Eric.... |
Re: Fl.Ü.G 1 pilots
