Horst Sandkuhl JG77

I am looking for information regarding the above crash which happened on 24th Dec 1944 near Encherange in Luxembourg apparently the wreck of his ME 109 G was excavated some years ago, does anyone know anything about this ?

my dead father was also at the Stab II / JG77.

Does anyone know if any excavation of aircraft in that area of Luxembourg has taken place in the last 15 years ? I am led to believe the engine from this particular aircraft was recovered approx 15 years ago
