Hi Amrit1,

Many thanks for the information so far! Look forward to recieving your scan regarding Sgt Denchfield. I have visited both crash sites of Hurt and Denchfield a few years ago and will add the photos to our website very shortly. Thanks for your help.

And a little background, N3249 to 92sqdn 20/3/40. QJ-P. While flown by Sgt Ralph 'Tich' Havercroft was damaged during night landing Bibury 31/8/40.

Personally I'm not 100% sure if this a/c ever was with 610sq at all.
Records seem at odd's all over the place here including;
'British Military Serials' x Bruce Robertson. The block N3240 - N3299 allocated to French a/c.
'Men of the B of B' does not give a serial for Sgt Denchfield.
'Spitfire History' x Morgan/Shaklady, also does not indicate 610sq. only 92 & 602
'Royal Air Force Aircraft N Serials' x Air-Britain does.
My own DB is a no......only 92 & 602 there.

Looks rather like another Hmmmmmmm?

Short of a visit to NA

Mervyn.
