748168 Herbert David Denchfield. There's a picture and biog in Men of the Battle of Britain, which I shall provide in the morning when I plug in my scanner
Robert Nioloux, alias Robert Noel, Free French. A few line biog is available (in French) on page 6 of the following: http://aerostories2.free.fr/acrobat/...uchemaille.pdf Last edited by Amrit1; 16th April 2008 at 03:27. |

Re: Info sought on pilots, 118, 154 and 610 Sqdn's
And a little background, N3249 to 92sqdn 20/3/40. QJ-P. While flown by Sgt Ralph 'Tich' Havercroft was damaged during night landing Bibury 31/8/40.
Personally I'm not 100% sure if this a/c ever was with 610sq at all. Records seem at odd's all over the place here including; 'British Military Serials' x Bruce Robertson. The block N3240 - N3299 allocated to French a/c. 'Men of the B of B' does not give a serial for Sgt Denchfield. 'Spitfire History' x Morgan/Shaklady, also does not indicate 610sq. only 92 & 602 'Royal Air Force Aircraft N Serials' x Air-Britain does. My own DB is a no......only 92 & 602 there. Looks rather like another Hmmmmmmm? Short of a visit to NA Mervyn. Last edited by Spitfire 9; 19th April 2008 at 00:52. |
