Hi All,

looking for all Informations about Gefreiter Siegfried Meier, KIA 26. 11. 44 Area of Minden /Germany in Air Battle with P-51 Mustangs. Buried at Minden. Place of Death and Date of Birth/Place unknown.

He was shot down in air combat with the US P-51's of the 339th fighter group. I./JG 301 was literally chased out of the sky by this fighter group as they tried to defend the Misburg oil refineiries to the west of the city.

His correct name is MeYer not Meier.

He flew a Fw 190 A-8 W.Nr. 176 063.
Perhaps you take a look into the burial documents (Bestattungsbuch) of the New Cemetery Minden for more details.
