US aircraft record cards meanings!?

Hi all

I have a US aircraft record card indicating a delivery flight from Buffalo NY to Great Falls Montana. (Part of the pre ALSIB US-Alaska supply route) but the ATC leg across the US.

Can't make head nor tail of some of the place names?

under 'Station'

'So Beno' or 'So Bend'? No idea

Zargo, Tango, Fango? No idea

Gr. Falls - Great Falls. Montana.

Also under the condition column it has 'weather' - why? and also 'ROW' - any thoughts?

On British RAF Form 78 cards means RIW - Repaired in works- ROS - Repaired on Site. Is it something similar?

How about

So Bend = South Bend, Indiana

Fargo = Fargo, North Dakota

and

ROW - Repaired on Way

Just guesses

Where you have the entry "weather" in the condition column I think you will find that the dates alongside indicate a longer than normal stopover at South Fork or Fargo or wherever. The reason for that was (bad) "weather".

Thanks very much for that. Will not look at the atlas to see if they are on the route from Buffalo NY to Great Falls MT.

Repaired on way seems logical as the P39 had works done to the fin.(New skin with an old serial below the final one painted on. Believe Bell had a facility as well as a few civilians ones en route.

Seems we have a tie in.

thanks for your help

regards

Mark
