last 109
The last 109 looks like the presentation machine for Werner Moelders as captioned by Mombeek in his series.

The first 109 is a colour slide - lovely! :D

Apart from the color slide, I'm particularly attracted to the Ihlefeld shots:
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=6151723505 http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=6151723470 The latter shows an Oberfeldwebel (far right) which looks familar. |
Ju86 / =6151428777
The Ju86 is a swedish B3. I do not have a list over all B3:s in SAF service but it may be a Junkers produced machine i.e.
J860419, Ju86 K4 SWEDISH AIR FORCE, "162", Jun. 38 to Mai.58, scrapped as the A/C no 62 is clearly shown on the nose and fin. The pcture is probably taken at airbase F1 at Västerås in the late 40:ies (the no 1 denoting airbase 1 can barely be recognised on the fuselage side beside the national insignia) . Ju86 was also build under license by Svenska Aeroplan AB which is nowadays known as SAAB only. One of the B3:s modified as a cargo transport is preserved at SAF museum in Linköping http://www.flygvapenmuseum.nu/ . In the background a swedish J26 i.e. P51D is at hand. These where surplus A/C bought from US at the end of the war. /Thomas Adamsson |
