Damaged/lost German fighter 1st September 1943
Dear researchers,
On 1st september 1943 a single engined fighter made a crashlanding in the Polder Beemster, North/West Holland. Up till now I haven´t been successful in identifying this aircraft. Damage may have been below 60% and therefor not registrated as a loss. No info about the pilot whether he was wounded or not. The fighter may have been a Bf.109 of III/JG26 which was based at Schiphol at that time. I realise this may be a difficult one, but perhaps somebody has a clue? Kind regards, Hans Nauta |
Re: Damaged/lost German fighter 1st September 1943
Bf 109G-6, Wnr. 16428 of 9./JG 26 was reported with 30% damage at "Schiphol" due to pilot error.... maybe it bellylanded outside Schiphol?

Re: Damaged/lost German fighter 1st September 1943
Hi Rob,
Thanks for your answer. However, JG11 wasn't based in Holland at that time if I'm right? Best regards, Hans |

Hi Hans,
