Damaged/lost German fighter 1st September 1943

Dear researchers,

On 1st september 1943 a single engined fighter made a crashlanding in the Polder Beemster, North/West Holland. Up till now I haven´t been successful in identifying this aircraft. Damage may have been below 60% and therefor not registrated as a loss. No info about the pilot whether he was wounded or not.

The fighter may have been a Bf.109 of III/JG26 which was based at Schiphol at that time.

I realise this may be a difficult one, but perhaps somebody has a clue?

Kind regards,
Hans Nauta

Bf 109G-6, Wnr. 16428 of 9./JG 26 was reported with 30% damage at "Schiphol" due to pilot error.... maybe it bellylanded outside Schiphol?

Cheers,

John.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your answer. However, JG11 wasn't based in Holland at that time if I'm right?

Best regards,
Hans

Hi Hans,

You are right - this unit was not stationed in Holland at that time --

Best wishes,
Rob
