aircraft remains found in western poland
hi everyone there!
my pleasure is to inform all the community that we have found some remains of an aircraft. Sure it's german. we suspect it's fw190. the site's located in western poland. now, please take a look at the parts we don't recognize: 1. some kind of cover: http://nrm.w.interia.pl/part1.JPG http://nrm.w.interia.pl/part2.JPG http://nrm.w.interia.pl/part3.JPG german words say: Achtung vor H(oe)henjustierung Klemmschraube tuben(not really sure abt. this last word) 2. button? knob...? german word: Bauart, siemens logo visible on the side... http://nrm.w.interia.pl/partb1.JPG http://nrm.w.interia.pl/partb2.JPG and there's some, that we know: 1. there's rev counter's plate (used in many types of fighters): http://nrm.w.interia.pl/plate.JPG http://nrm.w.interia.pl/plate2.JPG 2. there's also part of this master compass FK-m (also pretty common): http://warbirdnet.com/instrumente/ka...ss/Fl23331.gif the part we have is a small cover with nominal plate visible in the center of the device (i have no photo of it here). and there's a lot of 13mm and 20mm ammo remains, plus this really cool thing :D : http://nrm.w.interia.pl/mg131_gun.JPG which seems to be mg131... we'll be gratefull for anything, that can help us to confirm we have the FW here. brgds |
Re: aircraft remains found in western poland
The pics #1, #2 and #3 are of the lower door/cover for a Revi C/12D gunsight. You would open this cover to replace the lightbulb inside of the gunsight.

Re: aircraft remains found in western poland
yes, indeed! that's the one!
unfortunatelly this gunsight was used in many types of aircrafts, so the ID problem remains open. thank you very much for your help. we intend to separate and clean some more parts and perform a deeper search in the ground... brgds. |
Re: aircraft remains found in western poland
Hi
I have one part look similar to your part marked Siemens, but not marked Bauart : http://i19.tinypic.com/2m5bdyw.jpg i think it's radio or part or light from inside cockpit ...(Leuchten) , http://i16.tinypic.com/2cehrmr.jpg For my,i know sure it's coming from one He111 So, i think we can't identify one Fw with theses parts, you need found more relics ... The best ist found one marked R8-190 .... Bsrg, Dan |
