Re: Beaufighter losses over the Aegean Sea, Nov. 10th, 1943

From CWGC
Name: HAYDEN, JOHN STEPHENS
Initials: J S
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Flying Officer
Regiment/Service: Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve
Unit Text: 47 Sqdn.
Age: 20
Date of Death: 10/11/1943
Service No: 130938
Additional information: Son of Leslie John and Dora Marian Hayden, of Crownhill, Plymouth.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: Column 268.
Memorial: ALAMEIN MEMORIAL
but no record for a McMasters with 47 Sqdn at any date...
No other casualty that day on Alamein Memorial either, so looks as if he was rescued.
Hope of some help.
