Re: Cockpit photo of a Bf 110 G-4 nightfighter
Hi Chris, Nick and Peter,
Thank you very much for your help and links and photos!
I have a copy of Monogram's Close-Up by George G. Hopp in my collection and just checked it. There is indeed a photo of the radio operator's position as well as a photo of Peter Cohausz's original Bf 110 G instrument panel.
I remember this CIOS/BIOS report. I think I once even had an original copy, but have not scanned it before I traded it. As far as I can remember, there was a photo of the main instrument panel, although the quality of the photo was poor and the panel was missing some of its instruments. Peter, Chris do you also have a scan of that photo?
I am looking for a cockpit photo that shows the control stick of a Bf 110 G-4 equipped with MG 17s instead of the MK 108 (like e.g. for the Hendon Bf 110 G-4). The only possibility for such a photo would be a wartime photo (I have checked most of the wartime manuals already, but they sometimes show prototype configurations). But for some odd reason, they seem to be extremely rare considering that there were quite a few Bf 110s around at the end of the war.
Best regards,
Roger
