Re: Il-2 Sturmovnik

Yep, from Factory No.1 (in the winter of 1944-45) many IL-2s with 8xxx serial numbers were still in service. But 6xxx was too old production for here.
From Factory No.30, eg. IL-2, S/N: 306132 was lost on November 15, 1944. In 1944-1945 many IL-2s with S/N: 303xxx-308xxx were still in service, so No.306469 would be another candidate, especially, because -generally speaking- due to logistics, etc., Factory No.30 delivered IL-2s mainly to the Northern fronts. Factory No.1 delivered planes rather to the South, while Factory No.18 delivered ~everywhere (regardless of the few exceptions).
From Factory No.18 IL-2s, like 1870169, 1872471, 1878771 were lost in late 1944-1945, ~mainly from the 71st batch. (But batch No.69 is still reasonable.)

Briefly: IL-2, S/N: 1876469 and 306469 are the good candidates here, but none of these planes were in 4 VA service -at least- by October 1, 1944. (I have no info in 1945 or on the 16 VA.)

Cheers,
Gabor
