Our friend Geoffrey Sinclair wishes to add the following According to the 82nd FG report for 10 June 1944 claims total 5-3-1 Destroyed, Me110 LtCol Mason, Hs126 Lt Lette, Me210 and Me109 Lt Adelson, Me109 Lt Rognier? Bognier? Probable T/E a/c Lt Adelson, Biplane Major Phillips, Me109 Lt Carroll Damaged Me109 Lt Kidder By the time it reached 15th AF HQ, destroyed, 1 Bf109, 1 Bf110, 1 Me210, 1 He111, 1 Hs126, probable 1 Bf109, 1 S/E a/c, 1 biplane, damaged 1 Bf109. This doenst really clarify my problem.
J' have the list of the 28 vic.attributed in Romania + 1 (Varnell...J don't know where?)...but J don't know the types (bf.109..fw.190..Do-217???) assigned at each pilots. Michel |

Cannot add anything on the victories, but your Varnell comment is possibly off. According to Frank Olynyk's Stars & Bars, Varnell made no claim on June 10, although he did claim on June 9 and June 11. If any member has a copy of Olynyk's MTO claims book, it would solve your mystery. Unfortunately I do not have it, only his ETO claims book.
