Re: Bf-110 b, c, d & e

1. It's does not cover the 'B' (there is only a slight lead-in to the 'C');

2. It's not an 'Illustrated history' but 'In Detail';

3. It is not my sole work, but co-authored with Fernando Estanislau;

4. The blurb that you can see on the link is what someone in Ian Allan wrote, which in the main does not address the actual content of the work. I have written a fresh description, and this can be seen at Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com.

Apart from that... it will apear next year.

Here is the corrected cover. Everything now with the publisher, and the target of May still on.

I like John's books on the Bf 110 (have his others), so I'll add this to my shopping list.

Jukka,

As far as I am aware, yes.

The earlier link I posted does not appear to work, so here it is again:

BTW Mr. Vasco - any chance of ever seeing a detailed unit history on SKG 210/ZG 1 and ZG 26 on the eastern front?

Christian,

Not from me, anyway. This book due out in May that I have done with Fernando Estanislau is the last I am doing. I have no plans to do anything else, and I'm hoping to lodge my entire research work from the last 28 years with an institution in the next few weeks. As the late, great, Scouser George Harrison once sang, 'All things must pass'.

Having said that, it does not prevent someone else from undertaking such a project as you have outlined in your question.

Also, I would highly recommend, if you can get a copy now: 'Meine Flugberichte 1935-1945' by Johannes Kaufmann, who flew with SKG 210 & ZG 1 on the Russian front. Published by Journal Verlag Schwend GMBH in 1989, it is a very good read.

Regards,

John Vasco

Ah well ... with nearly 3 decades it's no miracle that there is an end in sight. Enjoy your "retirement"

Re: Bf-110 b, c, d & e

I am reliably informed that the book is now available, certainly via amazon.co.uk.
