Swordfish I (L9716) 812 Sqdr August 31st. 1940

On August 31st. 1940 a Swordfish I (L9716) from 812 Sqdr crashed at the Island of Rozenburg in the Netherlands.

Local sources mention that it carried a crew of 3 however I only got he name of the pilot Lt George Villiers-Tuthill.

Does anybody know if it actually carried a crew of 3 and if so what their names are? Both are mentioned to have bailed out and made POW.

Thanks.

Hi

My records show that the Swordfish carried only two crew, Lt George Villiers-Tuthill, who was killed, and Mid(A) Maurice Driver who was taken prisoner.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Brian
