P-51D-20 44-63453 of 78th FS - what code?
Dear Gentlemen,
I've recently found a photo of this machine, probably crashed by 1Lt Kenneth R. Dahlquist of 78th FS/15th FG on Iwo Jima on 10 March 1945. Unfortunately, only the first digit of the code, '1', is visible on the photo. Does anyone know what was the full code? If someone is aware of existence of more than 1 photo of this plane, please also point out the source. Thank you in advance for any help.
