Pilot Uffz. KESSLER ?
Hi Experts,
I was looking for a German fighter pilot on 7th August 2013. New documents improved the search for that mysterious fighter pilot: 1. Fotos appeared and confirm a Bf-109 (Me-109). Wings demounted, standing now on a rail car prepared for transportation) 2. The day of the belly landing is confirmed on 14th May 1944. 3. As no pilot Uffz. Herbert Kessler (acc. to local police record) ever could be found in the free records, I suppose that it could be the pilot Uffz. HERMANN Kessler, 7/JG 5. (or there is also another Fhj Uffz. Hermann, Karl Kessler 2 / JG-53). Both did not survive the war! The local police record only mentions Herbert Kessler but this record does not seem too reliable, evidently it was not written down on the true day of belly landing but later then. What can you point out of the sign BF ? I cannot find such letters on any Bf-109 (Me-109) in action (on fotos). Thanks in advance for any suggestions roland Last edited by ginamod; 11th May 2019 at 18:30. |
