Thanx for the info. The number at first place is the Werknummer I guess?
The location Recita is the town, called Reschitz on modern maps. The exact crash location as mentioned in the link.

Anything else on this crash available, i.e. the old Lw square grid?

Yes, first is (full) W.Nr., and version is presumed A-5, code not given.
(as most A-1s likely had been upgraded by then)
Info is from Luftwaffe loss documents (GQM losses, extracted from BA-MA Microfiche)
"Luftwaffe Grid Square" is not mentioned in this loss.

NVM (via Matti Salonen) gives "Guruja, 28 km südlich Reschidza"
and plane of 6./KG 51, Bordschütze, FW, Richtsteiger, Erich.

Re: Ju88 crash landing 7.4.1941 near Goruia and Gârliste, Romania

The first small groups of KG 51 aircraft appeared over Belgrade at roughly 14.00 on 7 April. The only attack recorded during the morning was by some Ju 87's of StG 77 at 11.30. Yugoslav Bf 109E's and IK-3's chased a number of attackers and claimed six Ju 88's between 14.30 and 18.00 and I suppose that they were responsible for this Ju 88. The best guess would be that the claimants were either nv IIIk Djordje Stojanović of 102. escadrille (Bf 109E) and kap Ik Todor Gogić, CO pf 51. aviation group (IK-3), which claimed one Ju 88 jointly, or nar Milisav Semiz of 161. escadrille (IK-3). In both cases the Ju 88's were escaping in direction of Rumania after the bombardment of Belgrade. Time of engagement was shortly after 15.00.

Cheers,
Boris

For those of you who want to update and/or complement missing archive information, here is the exact location of the 7.4.1941 JU88 crash landing. Marked directly at the crossroads -road to Garliste and Resita (Reschitz), Gorula.

Also marked on this map you find a 15.10.1915 crash site of a German LVG C II plane in "Valea Liscovu Mare"

If Egbert is still interested the Ju52 who crashed on 21.dec.43, belong most probably to 4.TG4 Wn 6161
