Luftwaffe ground losses 23/24th July 1940
Dear all,
In the night of 23/24th July 1940 a hangar at Bergen airfield (The Netherlands) was succesfully bombed by a Whitley of the RAF. According to the KTB of the Führungsstab Ic ObdL the next German aircraft were lost as a result of a fire in the hangar: 1 Junkers W 34 1 Arado Ar.66 1 Heinkel He.70 1 Caudron 1 Koolhoven Is there any trace of the identity of these aircraft such as Werknummer, codes and units in the survinving documents? Thanks in advance for your effort, Hans Nauta |
