Help for Identification
Hi All,
last week we spent some time at a crash site of a Me 109. Some relics found with part numbers and your help to identify it and where the parts were positioned at the plane is very much appreciated. Please see attachments. Thanks in advance Rolf |

Re: Help for Identification

If it helps you! The first two images are part of a cabin inspection flap closure. Cordially. Bonjour, Si cela peut vous aider ! Les deux premières photos font partie d'une fermeture de trappe de visite carlingue. Cordialement. Attachment 13347 Last edited by Archéavion; 22nd January 2017 at 09:13. |

Re: Help for Identification
Hi
100% The first image is the elevator/rudder hinge. The numbers correspond to bf109 Parts catalogue. Kind Regards |

Re: Help for Identification
no the counterweights were the same. I have both versions from both types...
![]() Yours "appears" to be the wood type, but I will need to see the back end where the main attachment bolts are. The remaining photos are latches from a Fw190....so they are not from this wreck. |

Re: Help for Identification
All parts coming from same crash site.
The plane came down Oct. 20th 1944 and was a 109 G-14. Pilot bailed out. Really wondering why the other parts should be FW 190 parts. Seems really strange to me. Rolf |

Re: Help for Identification
Hi Rolf,
Those latches 100% were never used on the Me109. They are Focke-Wulf of manufacture., and also have the Fw part numbers. Maybe two wrecks were buried together. it was common to do this during the war when aircraft crashes were near each other. |
