Andrey Kuznetsov will become famous soon enough
Bf110 WNr4031, Ju88 WNr2634 etc

Among planes founded after beginning of German retreat from Caucasus in Jan.43 were the following planes:

Bf110 WNr4031 - partly to spare parts, partly to scrapping
Ju88 WNr2634 - to spare parts
Parts of Bf109 without WNr of plane but with motor WNr2597 in good condition.

Whether the loss or the previous career of these planes is known?

Best regards,
Andrey

Re: Bf110 WNr4031, Ju88 WNr2634 etc

I have Bf 110E-1 WNr.4031 as a Nachtjäger with the 1./NJG 5, crashed 4.March 1943 at Duesadel (engine fire, crew FSA), but the Ju 88 is a match:

Ju 88A-4 WNr.2634 of the 5./KG 54, coded B3+EN Reported lost 8.February 1942 due to enemy fighters during sortie to Rshew. Crew returned, F Uffz. Heinz Neubauer & B Ogefr. Günther Krause both WIA, Bf Ogefr. Paul Kondermann, Bs Ogefr. Michael Modritsch.

Re: Bf110 WNr4031, Ju88 WNr2634 etc

Thank you!

Maybe typo in Soviet document because Ju88 mismatch also due to great distance between Rshew (central part of the front) and Caucasus.

Andrey

Just a quick question: where did you found the names of Krause, Kondermann & Modritsch?

Regards,
Rudi.
