Major Wilson killed on final approach when trying to bring his flak damaged Mustang and lost control at Steeple Morden

Wilson went in near Foffe (sp?) Belgium making an emegency landing just into Allied lines. He was badly hit by a German Flak train. He was buried in Foffe, moved to Neuville - and listed at Cambridge Memorial close to Steeple Morden
