Re: Backside photo translation

The text goes as follows:

"Bald seht Ihr uns in Natura

Willy u. (I guess) Ebo

Köln, 26.8.1940"

Translated: Soon, you will see us personally

Best wishes

Robert

Re: Backside photo translation

Hi Fran,
I am reading:
"Da die Maschine endlich eingeflogen ist, läßt man sich die wohlverdiente Zigarette sehr gut schmecken.
Willy, 42"

Translation:
Since the machine finally has been test flown, we can enjoy the well-deserved cigarette very well.

Best wishes,
Robert

Re: Backside photo translation

This one was firmly glued to a piece of album page. Because these kind of black paper are not very consistent and the glue usually are water based, I carefully removed it with some water avoiding to wet the photo emulsion side.
Finally the 'price' appeared pencil written as the name of the person depicted; a LC der Spiess.
I just can read his rank is Feldwebel, but what is his name?
Thank you
Fran
