Help with search for information on RAF aircrew

A neighbour of mine when I was a child was RAF aircrew in WWII, flying Beaufighters (and Mosquitos?) in Burma.

I have his name, George Thompson, and the information above, but that is all. Does anyone know how I can go about finding more information about him? I suspect he may well have died by now. He retired to North Yorkshire some time ago, and I moved away also, and it is 20 years and more since we were last in contact.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks,

Nacluv
