Breguet 693 loss

Gentlemen,

I recently received a photo of a downed Breguet 693, without any information about the crash place.

There's no visible serial number, the only marking is a small roman "IV" on the rear fuselage.

The a/c made a more or less successful belly landing with visible hits from a calibre around 20 mm.

Any ideas?

Heuser

Re: Breguet 693 loss

Hi,

without serial number it could be difficult to find this loss.
It might be No.65 from GBAI/51, which c/l on 20.05.40 at airfield in Le Bourget after being hit by flak.

Robert

Re: Breguet 693 loss

N° 65 (2e escadrille of GBA I/51) outlived the campaign. We have photographic evidence.
It's an a/c of 4e escadrille of GBA II/51.
Only these two escadrilles used roman numerals during the May-June campaign.
I have this photograph in my collection but I can't put my hand on it.
