Losses from the loss list of April 30th 1944

Hi, guys!

Cleaning up some entries in my loss records database.

See that I have had some problems with the lfd.Nr. 10, 11 and 12 from the report of April 30th 1944 due to a torn page.

For lfd.Nr. 10: Can anyone confirm that Gefr. Parzbier, Obgfr. Herwedz? and Obgfr. Weiland of Ln.Sch. 2 was killed when Ju 86 E-14 WNr 173 crashed on April 26th 1944? I have deduced this from the handwritten summary for the report which is shown on the last page.

For lfd.Nr. 11: Can anyone confirm the crew position of Uffz. Rudi Jahn as being F (Pilot)? As the crew had 1 non-officer killed and 3 wounded (of which one was an officer) it is hard to decide the distribution.

I believe that Hans Fischer might have had the rank of Flg.Stabsing. (or maybe Flg.Haupting.?) and thus is the wounded with officer rank flying as B (Beobachter).

I also need the rank and crew position of Albert Schweppe and Georg Ettel.

For lfd.Nr.12 I guess I would have to accept that the full WNr of the aircraft will never be known - Ju 88 A-5 WNr. 40?????

Regards, and thanks for any assistance in advance,
Andreas B

The NVM for Fischer's crash lists Beck as a T.A. Sachbearbeiter.

Re: Losses from the loss list of April 30th 1944

Thanks for the info!

Lfd.Nr. 12 is a loss of a Ju 88 of II./F.A.G.101 at Perleberg on April 27th 1944. As far as I can see no personnel injuries, so I doubt there will be any info from WASt.

Must be if some other reference, KTB or likewise have this loss recorded.

Regards,
Andreas

This was Ju 88, W-Nr. 4018, CP+NG.

Why do you need all this information?

Peter

Re: Losses from the loss list of April 30th 1944

Hi, Matti and Peter!

Matti - thanks for the confirmation - no surprise with regards to the FAG 101 aircraft.

Peter - my primary reason is that I want to gather what information is available on losses of the Luftwaffe in order top use it later in research - amongst other to confirm tales as given by Norwegian pilots and crew members in the RAF. Also as you might have seen there are several people here that help out with research into incidents when other members of the board ask for assistance - as I have done in the past and will continue to do in the future.

Regards,
Andreas B

Aah, okay.

I knew some people who gathered and gathered and gathered - and died. And nothing happened with the data. The papers ended up in the garbage.

Peter

Hello Andreas!

I have sent you a PM, concerning a more general question about Summarische Verlustmeldungen.
