				Oberammergau mysteries
Hello, I just come back from Oberammergau (Bavaria) where there was a 'secret' Messerschmitt 'research center' dug in the Laber mountain. I found some interesting relics along the base of the cliff. It is said that there was any aircraft (or parts of) manufactured inside, only documents found by the allies at the end of the war. Those parts were found in soil dump, close to the Laber entrance (now closed by concrete), however their aeronautical origin seems more than probable. Once again, more question than replies. Enjoy and more would follow. ClinA-78 Last edited by ClinA-78; 27th May 2014 at 09:19. |

				Re: Oberammergau mysteries
I do not believe there was too much "mystery" concerning the Me site at Oberammergau, where some of the engineering functions had been relocated, IIRC as a result of Allied bombing. USA intelligence exploitation teams visited the site, interrogated the personnel, and collected material (papers, drawings and physical items). There were reports written of the process including photos. I have seen this summary material and went through it a number of years ago. If it of value, I will go through my notes and try to find the source references. Best Regards, Artie Bob |

| Re: Oberammergau mysteries The sole 'mysteries' for me are those little pieces I found. One can dream about finding pieces of P.1101 and Me 262 Who knows... ClinA-78 |

				Re: Oberammergau mysteries
Hope to get luckier with this one. Important is the rounded stamp "411" on this ordinary part (hope you find it at left of the coin). Is this particular stamp related with German aviation construction? Best regards ClinA-78 Last edited by ClinA-78; 27th May 2014 at 09:19. |

Well, I hope this radio (FuG) face will attract some attention. German or American? Found buried near the entrance of the 'cave'. ClinA-78 Last edited by ClinA-78; 27th May 2014 at 09:19. |

				Re: Oberammergau mysteries
Well, my last try as a bootle in the sea... The backface of the 'radio'. I dreamt it was parts of the P.1101. Dreams are not expensive I hope it was of some interest if few. Best regards. ClinA-78 Last edited by ClinA-78; 27th May 2014 at 09:19. |

				Re: Oberammergau mysteries
The last picture showing the entrance of the cave... desesperately empty of Me 262 and P.1101 I read a panel inside the NATO School saying the P.1101 was found inside building 615 (now Manfred Wörner Lecture Hall) A sketch called "The Wreckage of War" (Oberammergau - Fahrgang-Friedhof) shows both a Bf 109 WNr. 332107 and another fuselage with a "32" on it (it could be fictious).
