Unknown crash at Corfu

Hi,
I found in a war diary of AOK 12 this crash landing of a German plain at the airport of Corfu.
"Das italienische Okdo in GR teilt mit, dass am 26.07.41 ein deutsches dreimotoriges Flugzeug BC+IZ 329 beim Landen in Corfu aus der Bahn geschleudert und an einem Haus zerschmettert wurde. Ltn. Rithost-Lagnitzer, Fw. Erich Wucrat und Fw. Herbert Bucher tot, Fw. Hans-Joachim Broing verwundet, 2 Personen verletzt".

Does any one know more, unit ?, a Ju 52 ? what this Nr. 329 means ?

regards
Byron

Re: Unknown crash at Corfu

Hi again,
I think i found the right answer, there are some mistakes with the names. It should be this:

FF. Ltn. Horst Drognitz (+), Ju 88 A5 (W.Nr. 5277) 100% m. BO. Uffz. Hans Brömel (vw.),
BF. Uffz. Herbert Puchert (+), BS. Uffz. Erich Wrusch (+), Notlandung infolge Motorschaden 26.07.41 Kerkyra

Some names are similar, but not the same. The aircraft is described in the loss report as "three engined" and the crew was composed by 6 members, definitely not a Junkers ju88.

... and what about the BC+IZ 329, that is confusing me. The Italian announcement is full of mistakes, but the date of crash landing and the similarity of the names shows to LG 1

Stammkennzeichen BC+IZ and Werk Nummer 329?

Or possibly an error for a Stab I./TG 1 marking, 1Z+BC?
