JG1 and JG11 losses 28 June 1944

Can anyone identify any losses suffered by these units on this date. I am trying to locate details of a dogfight with 401 Squadron at c2150 E of Domfront.

regards

Keith

JG 1 and JG 11 Losses 28 June 1944

Hi Keith

Prien has the following losses for that date:

Oberfähnrich Aloysius Kaatz of 5./JG 1 killed in Fw 190 A-8 "Black 7" (W.Nr. 680 523) in aerial combat with Spitfire fighters near Flers, 100%

Unteroffizier Hans Jäger of 1./JG 11 killed in Fw 190 A-7 "Yellow 11" (W.Nr. 340 0256) due to unknown causes, Villaines, 100%

Oberfeldwebel Berthold Jochim of 1./JG 11 wounded in Fw 190 A-8 (W.Nr. 680 578) cause and location unknown

An unknown pilot of II./JG 11 shot down in aerial combat at an unknown location, 100%

I hope this helps.

Horrido!

Leo

Cheers Leo, Jochim and Jager seem to be the victims. Jochim shot down a Spitfire (unconfirmed) at Domfront before he was shot down.

best regards

Keith
