MACR for 14. Oct 1943

Hi All,
I hope someone can help me. I'm looking for info on the following MACR:
788, 822, 831, 832, 920, 1036.

They all are for the Schweinfurt mission on 14. Oct 1943.

I hope someone is willing to assist me. Maybe in return I can help with some Luftwaffe stuff.

Send me a private e mail if it is more desirable.

N.Schuchbauer@comcast.net

Regards,

Norbert

Thank you very much Ed. I'm slowly getting somewhere. Would you be willing to share the crew names ranks and fate of the two MACR you have? Would really apprechiate this.

Thanks,

Norbert

Question Re: MACR for 14. Oct 1943

Hi again,

Re: MACR 788
The AAIR site gives this loss 42-30453 as the 14th Oct 43 with the 96 BG with 2Lt. Roy G. Davidson.
Re: MACR 831
The AAIR site gives this loss 42-30453 as the 14th Oct 43 with the 94BG 333BS with 2Lt. Silas S. Nettles.

So pick the bones out of that one ?
2Lt. Silas S. Nettles was with 42-3453 of the 94BG 333BS all crew POW.This crew however was from the 96BG 339BS.MACR 831.
That would make
2Lt. Roy G. Davidson with 42-30453 also of the 94BG 333BS MACR 788.But this is also listed as MACR 831.

Both a/c are given as "TS-K", while only 42-30453 is given the name "Thunderbird"

Re: MACR for 14. Oct 1943

Thanks Alex and Ed,
you helped me clarify some of the questions. Had the same problem like you Alex with the 788 and 831 and the different serial numbers. Initially I thought there was a typo since the numbers are so close.

Thanks again for the wonderful assistance insolving my puzzle.

Norbert
