Egyptian Hawker Audax

Hi,

Anyone know where I can find some details of the Egyptian Hawker Audax? It was also designated the Avro 674.

Any help would be appreciated.

Alex

Re: Egyptian Hawker Audax

Hi Alex

According to SPITFIRES OVER ISRAEL (which I just happened to write with two others!) the Egyptians received 24 Avro 674s, which were allocated REAF serials K400-K405, and K501-K518.

Hope this helps
Cheers
Brian

Hi Brian,

Thanks for that. That's another book I'm still trying to get.

Re: Egyptian Hawker Audax

Hi Alex

Sorry, out of print and I have only my own copy! I should have put some aside - but then I only give them away! I don't think there is any additional info on the Audax in my book, but I can photocopy any pages you wish.

Cheers
Brian

If you are interested in the general subject of the Egyptian AF you should get Phoenix over the Nile, published by the Smithsonian. I'll take a look if I can find more about the Audax.
