Re: 245 Sqdn August 1940

According to the following site P2902 crashed in Dunkirk on 31 May 1940, so the SOC of 10 Aug would probably have been when all the paperwork had caught up with it.

However, I cannot find it in Frank's FC Losses Volume 1 for any period from the Battle of France to the 10th Aug.

Re: 245 Sqdn August 1940

Hello Amrit,

Thanks for reply.

That is why I asked.

I have also, N2702 from 245 lost on 31/5/40.

Closeness of numbers has me wondering if McGlashan's a/c was not P2902 and not as recorded N2702.

If not then who was the pilot of P2902 when it was lost ?

Alex

Hi Alex,

you've probably seen this but the last post says the same thing about Franks' entry.

As they're recent posts, maybe worth keeping an eye on the thrad.

Hi Amrit,

Thanks for the link . I had not seen it.

Interested as the story of G-ROBT says that she is to be rebuilt as a TANDEM aircraft.
