Re: Ju-52/3 M KGzbV 5 may 10th 1940 Belgium
I can't help you with information on the plane or it's crew, but on the 10th of may, as part of "Fall Gelb" (the invasion of Holland, Belgium and France), there was on operation called "Stahl, Beton, Eisen, Granit"
Stahl (steel) = taking of the bridge over the Albert canal at Veldwezelt, Belgium Beton (concrete) = taking of the bridge over the Albert canal at Vroenhoven, Belgium Eisen ( iron) = taking of the bridge over the Albert canal at Kanne, Belgium Granit (granite) = the attack on the fortress of Eben-Emael, Belgium. Your Ju 52 probably took part in one of those missions. Last edited by RudiS; 10th March 2008 at 16:05. |

Re: Ju-52/3 M KGzbV 5 may 10th 1940 Belgium
The book the above sites are referring to, is probably this one:
Title: Duel in de wolken (Duel in the clouds) Author : Ron Pütz (apparantly deceased) ISBN : 90.6881.0375 Publishers : Van Soeren - 1994 Language : Dutch I don't have a copy, but maybe some of our dutch friends do. Hope this will help, Rudi. |
