J.E. Johnson claims
I have heard that Johnson did a study of Priller's claims because he did not believe them, but, found that most were verifiable. To put the shoe on the other foot, has there ever been a study of Johnson's claims to identify unit and pilot?

I would love to see one to see what the italian FW-190 was he claimed over dieppe.

Hi,

Dilip Sarkar's 2 volumes on Johnson "Spitfire Top Gun - 1 & 2" give some
tie-ins on his claims but only from his arrival at Kenley as Wing Leader.

Both on Amazon at £16.00 Vol 1(2002) & £1.00 Vol 2 (2005) well researched but slightly overly hero worshipping
