NJG5
Hello to all, I look for information on a Bf110G and his crew of the 9./ NJG5, lost on 19/06/1944. They would have fallen in the Somme, South of Abbeville. Thank you for your help.

Re: NJG5
Hello,
I join Remi's curiosity about this loss, because the closest loss of a Bf110 from 9./NJG 5 was Wnr.730098, C9+LT on 15/16 June 1944, location given: 10km south of Lille, 2 KIA All the best, Marcel

Re: NJG5
Hello, excuse my delay but I was traveling for my work.
The remains of a Bf110G4/R3 (1 propeller blade, and a few pieces of 7.92mm, 20mm, 30mm ammunition) were found in Bailleul (Somme) 35Km N.W Amiens. No information locally. My sources come from a French historian Mr Archambault. But his information may be incorrect ... It is certain that the plane fell at night in June 1944. How Bf110G4/R3 down in June 44 to Abbeville and the region ? For Wnr.730098 what gives Volksbund about the place of death of two KIA ? There is a town called Bailleul near Lille ... |
