Lt. Ludewig's 109 May 1940

Lt. Ludewig of 9./JG 26 made a bellylanding near The Hague on May 10th, 1940. Does anybody, Larry?, have pictures of this aircraft after the bellylanding?

Thanks,

John

John,

Yes, several. It's also one of our color profile a/c for the EoE Project.

Larry,

I found a picture of a 109 that could be this specific loss, see enclosed. Is this the same aircraft?

Cheers,

John

John,

Definitely. I have this same photo. Those are the cameraman's fingers over the front of the lens. This is from a series of three photos showing this a/c: this one, much of a port-side view, and the tail of the a/c. There are two other photos from other sources as well--a total of 5 images of this a/c in the EoE photo DB. Did you need these for something, or just wanted to confirm the ID of the photo you posted?

Just to ID, this one belonged to a colleague and he was curious what it was...

1940 is not my ball game....
