2 Bf109 questions

Guys
Q1 Was white 11, WKr 7232 aka NN644 & flown by Fischer, of 10./JG26 fitted with a 250kg bomb rack or a 4x50kg rack?

Q2 Did 109's of JG26 stationed at Comiso have sand pint of German or Italian origin when over-painting the 74/75 scheme?

Many thanks
Andy

Re: 2 Bf109 questions

According to Fischer, I believe he was carrying a single bomb not 4 x 50 kgs but see my book for photos and his account

Re: 2 Bf109 questions

According to Ken Merrick's latest research, the Luftwaffe did not use Italian paints but had early and late standards of their own desert shades. He was the one who first suggested the use of Italian paints, and there seems to be no independent evidence of their use.

I presume you are referring to Muncheberg's staffel: I undertood they retained their temperate colours. As did their RAF opponents on Malta (generally).
