Upside Down Hurricane

Looks to be in northern France, with code letters "RE", which should be those for 229Sq.However, even after going through FCL I, I could not find it. 229SQ went to the Middle East in 1941, so it did not fly over France for too long.

This may have been the subject of an earlier post ( I feel age is eroding my memory)

Smile Re: Upside Down Hurricane

To Kaiyan and Bertrand H - thanks for sharing another part of history of this Hurricane and his pilot!

All photos dowloaded to my personal archive :-)

Can somebody share more info about this action - I found just info, that 229. Sq pursuit some He 59 (probably some save action for some pilot in water) and P/O D.B.H. McHardy was shotdown over France.

Thanks

Faenor
