Lancaster JA 708
Can anyone tell me the crash site of 97 Squadron Lancaster JA 708?
This aircraft was lost September 23rd. 1943 on a raid to Mannheim. Any other relevant information would be appreciated. |

Re: Lancaster JA 708
I have a note that it was Rahmberg. By the way, this post should be in the Allied section!

Re: Lancaster JA 708
Sorry-I lie. I have a brief paragraph from a captured German document which talks about POWs from this crash (Rahmberg near Edenkoben) saying that 97 Sqn was losing on average 2 aicraft a month

My father was a P.O.W. from this crash, hence my interest. |
