25/04/1940 Do17 4.(F)/121

Hi !

On 25/04/1940 a Do17 of 4.(F)/121 (possibly 7A+BM = ?) made a crashlanding at Tintigny (Belgium).
On the Volksbund website Oblt Hans Niggl is mentioned as died on this specific date - he is presently buried at the German War Cemetery at Lommel (Belgium).
Was he one of the crewmembers of this plane ? Did all the others survive and became pow's ?

Many thanks and best regards

Luc

Hi Luc,

This Do 17 P-1 made a perfect wheels down landing in a field at Tintigny at 12.30 h. The pilot believed he was in Germany. All the crew members were safe : Uffz. Erich Pristat (pilot), Oblt. Peter Döring (obs.) and Uffz. George Kriegenhofer (radio-gunner). All were interned.

Hi Montana,

Many thanks for your very precise information !

Oblt Hans Niggl must have been a crewmember of another plane.

Best regards

Luc
