18/05/1940 Do17 shot down by French WWI veteran
Hi !
A few days ago I purchased the excellent Avions Hors serie nr.20 - Les As Français de 1939-1940, première partie: d'Accart à Lefol by C.Cony and Alain Coste (publisher Lela Presse) On page 8 and 9 they give in great detail data about Commandant Marc Ambrogi. This pilot born on June 8, 1896 shot down (together with Lt Bouysse and S/C Corrin) a Do17P on 18/05/1940. This pilot scored his first victory 23 years earlier (in 1917). Who can supply me details about this Do17P and his crew ? (On page 9 of the above mentioned publication a photograph of the Luftwaffe plane is published.) Many thanks and best regards Luc |
