Wellington crew recovery 21st July 1941
Hi,
A Vickers Wellington of No.149 ditched 70 miles off the Dutch coast on July 15th 1941. They spent the next 6 1/2 days in their dinghy until they were eventually picked up by a Heinkel 59 from Schellingwoude (Amsterdam). Trying to find out any details on what unit the He59 was from and any additional details on the crew's recovery. TIA Steve

Re: Wellington crew recovery 21st July 1941
Should be Seenotkommando 4 which was based at Norderney with detachment at Schellingwoude
