III.NJG1, suffered a fourth nd last loss at landing in Düsseldorf, Bf110 140672 Pilot Uffz Wilsch, a rather bad night for this unit, 4 losses for no victory, just return fire to a Mosquito seen heading away with some flames.

Quite some update Remi

Checking Balss the WNr 730100 is what he lists for the Hehl crew that night. So if you have Stav in that aircraft what do you have for Hehl?

Cheers
Stig

Re: 4/5. dec. 1944 NJG1

Remi

Now you are loosing me completely

In your earlier e-mail you say that WNr 140672 was flown by Uffz Wilsch

To recapitulate. From Balss book and your initial update we had
730100 Uffz Hehl
110161 Oblt Schickling
160121 Hptm Stav
140672 Uffz Wilsch

Now you state
730100 Hpmt Stav
110161 ??
160121 ??
140672 Uffz Hehl

Perhaps you should update the whole lot, please?

Cheers
Stig

Re: 4/5. dec. 1944 NJG1

In fact Stig for some of these losse I hv several Wn for the same event,

Here is what I originaly hv from the NVM+ Ultra

5 NJG1 F Düsseldorf-Gerresheim Greulingerstrasse Schiessplatz A Ffernj, BF110G-4 180573 G9+PN/FN 100
5 NJG1 F Dabringhausen/Senne-Sonne b,Wermelskirchen krs Remscheid/10 km S Wuppertal A vereis, A F BF110G-4 160607 G9+/KN/MN 100
II NJG1 X F BF110G-4 Besch,
II NJG1 Düsseldorf FP Besch, nicht F JU88G-6 620793 G9+SP 25
9 III NJG1 F Düsseldorf-Lohausen FP Gasthof Morgenstern A k,n,S BF110G-4 730100 G9+CS/OS 100
7 NJG1 F Giessen A F BF110G-4 110161 G9+NR 100
7 III NJG1 Erkrath-groiten b, Köthen A AS F Besch, BF110G-4 160121 G9+TT 100
III NJG1 Düsseldorf FP Besch, nicht F BF110G-4 140672 Besch,

Further docs quote;

160607 is given as 110607
730100 is given as 140672
140672 pilot = Wilsch

More I am using docs , more I think that more or less they are darkening the situation that enlighted it

Thanks Remi

Looks like a tough job to sort out what is right or wrong among the Luftwaffe clerks jottings. Hope this is not a typical night...
