Ju 88 lost on 12 August 1944

Hi,
I am looking for some info about losses of Ju 88 on 12 August 1944 over France. I have found here: http://baseportal.de/cgi-bin/basepor...d=all&Id=10733 2 Ju 88 from 4./KG30 and 5./KG30 , first one chrash near Valenciennes. What was the reason of these losses? Maybe fighters?

Regards,
Szkieletor

Re: Ju 88 lost on 12 August 1944

Thank You, Chris!
Do You know who shoot down the second one Ju 88 (that from 4/KG 30)? I know that Bolesław Gładych 61 FS/56 FG claimed Ju 88 that day. Probably over Cambrai but I don`t have his combat report. If that was true, then he probably got that Ju 88 but I`m not 100% sure.

I have not researched the 2nd crash but contacted the German & American pilots if the first one. However it seems likely that it was Gladych

Re: Ju 88 lost on 12 August 1944

Thanks Chris!
If somebody have or know how to get Bolesław Gładych report form that day it would be great ( I am also interested in few more USAAF pilots reports)
Now, I am trying to find what type of aircraft was claimed by pilots form 361 FS on that day. They claimed 2 kills and if that wasn't Ju 88 or any other bombers then Gładych victim is 100% sure.

Regards
