Unknown captured airplane 1945
This is an odd one, can someone please identify? Source: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Captured-Luf...item416ef7f5b7
For sure the location is not Brandenburg-Briest, as the seller claims. This airfield only 65 km southwest of Berlin was captured by Soviet forces, not by Americans. But where is it? Any clues? Regards, Christian Last edited by ChristianK; 21st April 2014 at 12:44. |

Re: Unknown captured airplane 1945
Hello Christian,
The plating suggested a Junkers design and then I found a Junkers A 50 Junior trainer, see http://www.deutsches-museum.de/en/co...s-a-50-junior/ All the best, Marcel

Re: Unknown captured airplane 1945
Hi Marcel, and thanks for solving this puzzle! Too bad the registration is not visible, though. Or is there some other evidence on this plane out there?
