Re: Ju-86P and R losses

What do you want with this information?

For example:
The crash of the Ju 86 P-2 D-APEW (W-Nr. 5141) and its consequences is described in detail in the book from Günther W. Gellermann: Moskau ruft Heeresgruppe Mitte (in German). The pilot of the D-APEW Albert Schnetz, later TO of the Vers.Verb.Ob.d.L./OKL, wrote his memoirs after the war.

Regards
Peter

15 Apr 41 D-APEW shot down VVS fighters crew POW later escapes

It was force landing not shot down due to eginge failure, one owa earlier switch off. Of course Ju 86 was detected and chatched by Soviet pilot from 46. IAP on I-16. Pilot did not open fire to it or "victim". Plane forece landed on Soviet territory near Równo (ex-Polish town).
