Yes, but what happened, is not known to me? May have fallen victim of fighter action.

This was K9+QH (F)/Aufkl.Gr.Ob.d.L. (Independent Units, East)
OPS (F) missing (100%) unk location (Sewastopol) 01.09.1941 (F Fw. Gerhard Taplick, B Oblt. Johannes Ruhnke, BM Fw. Karl Kunkel and BF Obgefr. Fritz Schalok missing)

Well, I have no idea how Jim P finds out this be Do 215.
Maybe he can explain. I have this sources (below) as my argument.

Note 1: Do 215 B 0024 L2+ES already was destroyed.

Note 2: Code of VfH (Versuchstelle für Höhenfluge, Oranienburg) Kommando Rowehl 4.(F)/Ob.d.L. - not of "1.(F)/"Aufkl.Gr.Ob.d.L (loss does not add 1.(F)/ as unit involved)

Note 3: GQM indentifies this clearly as Ju 88 B oo24 K9+QH,
NVM (via Matti Salonen) has this F Gerhard Taplick, B Johannes Ruhnke, BF Fritz Pchalek and BM Karl Kunkel (slightly different)

Note 4: TNA HW 19/96 SALU 205 Page 6 (party based on CX/MSS (Ultra) decoded mesages), indentifies plane code K9+QH doing recce flying in (east) with Luftlotte 4 (Fliegerkorps IV) on 27.08.41, report of date 01.01.41-02.09.41 has no mention.

Can't find any Soviet claim for that case, so technical failure most probably

Oh gawd, that error was fixed years ago. That data was initially entered into our db 20 or more years ago. At the time I don't think George or I had any idea that Ju 88B's ever flew missions against the enemy.

Ok, no prob, 2008 there is not much out on "Ju 88 B V-Serie", just bit and pieces here and there, no books I know of have added any.
